Before we get to Halloween pictures BIG NEWS! Bea visited me at work today and as I was getting notes from my boss she started walking! She walked from table to table without holding on to anything. About ten steps! I told my boss "Um, sorry to interrupt but Bea is walking! For the first time ever!" and all my co-workers applauded her. She did it a few more times. I don't know if it was because she was on a cushy carpet or what, but I hope this wasn't a fluke. Here she is moments after.
Now on to Halloween! Bea was Red Riding Hood and Daddy was the Big (not so) Bad Wolf!
We went to Montrose where they closed off the road and the merchants passed out candy. It was so much fun!
Bea's haul was puny this year. Only five pieces of candy and then she was done. She'll improve next year.

Alex was sitting on my lap earlier looking at the blog and saw Bea - "Baby!" she said. I told her, "That's Baby Bea!" She said, "Hi Bea!" :) Can't wait for them to meet over Thanksgiving!!
I'm so glad you were there to see Bea walk for the first time!! She was saving it just for you! And of course she is the cutest Little Red ever.

ReplyDeleteNow that she has started walking, there will be no stopping her. That may come in handy later this month, if she feels the need to make a quick getaway from the crowd noise on Thanksgiving. We are so anxious to meet Bea! Well, we're anxious to see you and Jeremy, too! HaHa
Glad to know the package was a hit. One of my favorite things is choosing books for children! It brings back many happy memories... When we sent Bea that package last spring, a lot of those books were favorites of my kids when they were little, so they're still my favorites, as well!
